Siemens unveiled a new approach to intrusion technology

Siemens unveiled a new approach to intrusion technology with the introduction of new Intrunet systems.

Siemens Building Technologies used IFSEC to demonstrate its new approach to intrusion technologies with the introduction of Intrunet.

Amongst the main features of Intrunet systems are: scalability, modularity, superior detection capability, highest false alarm immunity, functional customisation and integration, support for alarm management and response services.

Over its 30 year security history, Siemens has supplied intrusion products and systems under a number of different brands and sub brands, often as a result of acquisitions.  The need for integration with access control and video surveillance systems is becoming more urgent and customers are looking to Siemens to facilitate this process.  The new Intrunet brand draws together all the intrusion technologies that Siemens offers with its motion detectors, control panels and peripherals.

Intrunet will also enable Siemens to more easily integrate acquired product portfolios, as well as developments from its own extensive R&D.

On show at IFSEC was the Intrunet SI series of system components which simplify installation and improve security of operation.

 Also a highlight at the show was the Intrunet SPC series systems, offering scalability up to 512 zones, with a cost effective design and installation concep
